Santi Lesca


Composer, musician and sound designer, Santi acquired his taste for both rock and South American folk during his childhood, which he spent between Patagonia and north Argentina. He started to play guitar at the age of 9 composed his first original songs at 16, and soon began to develop his own particular techniques concerning percussed Spanish guitar and the singular instruments that he himself creates.

Although Lesca’s greatest passion has always been songwriting, his creative quest has conducted him through other disciplines such as physical theatre, sound production or music therapy, having developed works within the fields of sound art, interactive installation, conception and assemblage of DIY music instruments, and sound design for cinema, animation and the scenic arts.

Having participated in numerous musical and multidisciplinary acts, he’s currently part of an improvisation duo with singer and actress Luciana Díaz, and consistently develops audiovisual works together with his sister, visual artist Celestial Brizuela. After three studio albums —El Aire Es Libre (2006), VOLT (2011) and En algún lado (2016)— he is now finishing three EPs soon to be released by VIC NIC.
